In 2019, domestic transport accounted for 22 percent of the UK's emissions, making it the highest-emitting sector. As part of the Local Government Association's Sustainability Programme, a virtual event was organised to shed light on how local authorities play a crucial role in decarbonising transport.

The application window is now open for the tenth phase of the One Public Estate (OPE) programme. Up to £1.2 million of grant funding is available and each OPE partnership is invited to submit one project for consideration.
