The Government has announced that there will be an additional public holiday on Monday 8 May 2023 to mark the King’s Coronation.

Our business plan for 2022-25 lays out our priorities for the organisation over the next three years and this People Plan sets out how we can attract, retain, develop and support our staff to deliver these.

The Local Government Association broadly supports the government’s package of measures to ensure that the burden of paying to fix historical building safety defects does not fall on leaseholders. However, we continue to have significant concerns about the proposed implementation of the Building Safety Levy.

It has been a quiet month in the employment law world, with no cases to report. What we do highlight though is legislation currently making its way through Parliament, which if passed will give ‘zero-hours’ type workers and agency workers with unpredictable working patterns, the right to request a predictable pattern.
