These case studies show how local systems are putting the High Impact Change Model into practice to improve intermediate care, strengthen partnership working and support people to recover, regain independence and return home safely.

Buildings routemap

Direct emissions from buildings accounted for 17 per cent of UK greenhouse gas emissions in 2019. The sector needs to rapidly decarbonise both the construction and operation of buildings.

Energy generation routemap

Electricity generation is responsible for 15 per cent of UK greenhouse gas emission, with large proportion coming from renewables. Further development of low-carbon energy infrastructure is still required.

LGA Corporate Peer Challenge action plan

The Corporate Peer Challenge report includes a number of recommendations for the LGA to consider. The LGA has accepted the recommendations and is addressing them through an initial action plan.
