Our 'Focus on Leadership' councillor development events are designed to support councillors to excel in their existing roles and to provide them with a bridge to senior leadership positions.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer plus (LGBTQ+) councillors are invited to join us at our annual two-day, cross-party weekender event on Saturday 13 February to Sunday 14 February 2027 – an excellent opportunity to network and share experiences.

This popular annual event is a must for young councillors aged 40 and under who are interested in building their knowledge, skills and councillor networks. The next event will be held on Saturday 28 November – Sunday 29 November 2026

We've designed these two-day events to support opposition leaders and deputy leaders to excel in their role of leading an opposition group on their council.
