To ensure every resident lives in a safe environment in which they can prosper, Government must support the development of a 21st century fire service, give local areas the powers to make decisions about transport at a local level and drive fast and reliable digital connectivity across the country.

Good local services are essential for mental and physical health and wellbeing. To support councils in delivering these, the Government must reverse the £20 million cut to public health grant, invest in prevention and plug the £2.3 billion funding gap for adult social care.
