LGA statement: Ann Widdecombe death
Cllr Eamonn O’Brien, Local Government Association Chair, said:
“On behalf of councils, I offer our deepest condolences following the tragic death of Ann Widdecombe. We have been shocked and saddened as events have unfolded over the weekend.
“Our thoughts are with her family, friends and all those who have worked with her during her life of committed public service.”
