Bridging Northern Communities conference: Building stronger and more resilient communities - Leeds, 4-5 November

Leeds, 4-5 November

Councils have a key role in responding to the threats and challenges from radicalisation, extremism and integration. Working alongside partners and communities, building stronger and more resilient local areas lie at the heart of local authorities’ core business.

In recognition of some of the common issues facing communities across the North of England, this conference aims to explore regionally led, locally reflective approaches across partners in response.

This free 1.5 day conference seeks to harness the wealth of experience and knowledge of working with communities across the region, and provide opportunities for those from a wide range of sectors - from public agencies to civil society organisations – to share, connect, exchange practice and enhance our capacity to work with communities for a shared purpose.

Hosted by Leeds City Council and co-sponsored by the LGA, the programme will provide opportunities to connect and collaborate with others across sectors and localities, showcase examples of good practice and discuss approaches to some of the most challenging issues facing local areas.

Delegates are welcome to attend for either one or both days.
