Nottinghamshire County Council: using internal communications for cost of living support

Nottinghamshire County Council have created a Yammer community to enable employees to share information on cost of living support that is available for service users.

About the project

Nottinghamshire County Council's Benefits Team have established a new online Yammer community. This internal communications tool is open to all employees, with the purpose of enabling colleagues from across the council to share information on cost of living support that is available from both national and local sources. 

Colleagues are then able to use the posted information to support service users and their families. It is not intended to be a gateway to make referrals to the team, but is rather an information sharing platform.

The site has proved extremely popular and is an easy way of disseminating practical help and information to as many people as possible.
