The LGA Conference Innovation Zone is the space at LGA Conference for councils to showcase their new ideas and solutions to some of the biggest challenges facing local government.
Described as ‘the beating heart of the LGA conference’, the Innovation Zone is a core part of the annual LGA Conference each year – showcasing a diverse range of sessions demonstrating innovative practice and approaches from across the sector, addressing some of the biggest challenges facing local government.
This year, the Innovation Zone programme will be designed in alignment with the wider conference Golden Thread, From Neighbourhoods to Nations – Building Lasting Futures Locally, to provide a programme that reflects the broad spectrum of priority areas for knowledge and practice within the sector.
Further information will be shared on this page as we develop this year’s programme.
Please note local and combined authorities will be approached directly by the LGA to be invited to partake in this year’s programme, rather than registering interest through applications.
Topic areas will be curated in hand with our Innovation Zone Member-Led Working Group, including cross-party representatives of the LGA’s Improvement Committee.
