In support of Reading's Digital Strategy, which aims to encourage more people to do their council business online as well as to promote greater digital inclusion, Reading has developed a digital volunteering scheme.

The council worked closely with a range of partners including Reading Voluntary Action, Reading University, Reading College, Jobcentre plus, Launchpad and Age UK. Volunteers have run sessions in libraries and with local groups in the community.
