The toolkit for disabled councillors contains three guides for anyone who has recently been elected as a councillor and is disabled, has a health condition, or physical/mental impairment that affects their day-to-day life.
Disabled councillors bring experience and perspective that strengthens local democracy. The toolkit for disabled councillors exists to make sure you have access to the support that enables you to do the role fully. The guide was developed by the the Local Government Disability Champions Network.
