Cyber reaction exercises

Cyber reaction exercises provide a safe, constructive environment to assess and improve your response to cyber incidents.

We offer two distinct exercise types, both crucial for minimising the impact of an attack through effective decision-making, clear communication, and valuable learning experiences.

Incident response exercise

This facilitated exercise allows your IT staff to work through a realistic scenario, boosting their confidence in detecting, investigating, responding to, and recovering from a cyber incident.

This desktop exercise takes approximately a half day to complete.

Business continuity exercise

Facilitated by an experienced LGA expert, this exercise enables senior managers and leaders to practise their roles in a simulated cyber incident. Participants work together, mirroring the composition of a strategic response team.

You'll face a realistic scenario, based on a reasonable worst-case situation, such as a ransomware attack or other malicious cyber incident. The scenario evolves over time, presenting increasingly challenging and complex situations. Phased "injects" introduce new incidents and problems at key moments, requiring your team to adapt and respond effectively.

Benefits of participating

  • Identify strengths and weaknesses: Gain insights into your current cyber resilience and areas for improvement.
  • Enhance decision-making: Practise making critical decisions under pressure in a safe environment.
  • Improve communication: Develop clear and effective communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build confidence: Increase your team's confidence in handling cyber incidents.
  • Reduce the impact of attacks: Be better prepared to mitigate the consequences of a real cyber incident.
