This is how you’ll pay your rent:

Paid direct to Ongo Homes from your Universal Credit

You are responsible for paying your gas/electric and water

You will be informed every year of any increases to your rent

You are responsible for arranging insurance for your own belonging

If you have to pay for any extra charges, they’ll be attached here.

Paying your bills

  • You need to keep your home clean and tidy outside - make sure your bins are emptied - take care of your garden/ balcony/patio
  • Anyone working for Ongo will carry an I.D badge, and this includes people coming to do your repairs. Always ask to see it.
  • You should always let Ongo staff in to do repairs.
  • You should ask us if want to keep a pet.

We will fix your:

  • roof, walls and doors, chimneys, window frames (but not glass)
  • any garages or sheds we’ve built
  • ceilings
  • skirting boards
  • drains and gutters.

We will keep in good working order your:

  • water, gas, electricity and heating
  • kitchen and bathroom fittings installed by us

When you want to move

  • When you want to move out you’ll need to fill in a form giving us 28 days notice.
  • Call 01724 279900 to request one.
  • You need to return all keys and fobs

Looking after your home

You need to leave your home

  • clean and tidy (we’ll do an inspection to check)
  • make sure you take all your belongings and rubbish.

Being a good neighbour

  • do not play loud music or have your television or radio loud, especially at night
  • you are responsible for your pets
  • if you have a problem with a neighbour, contact someone on your ‘who to help’ list
  • do not be abusive to people
  • you are responsible for your visitors
  • do not park on footpaths.

Following the rules

  • If you don't follow the rules, we will try to help.
  • We will discuss the problem and what you need to do to make it better
  • We will agree a date with you to solve the problem by
  • If we are unable to solve the problem together, you may be asked to leave your home.
