The LGA has responded to the Government’s regulatory review on the future of transport technology. We have responded to the questions that cover the overall policy and regulatory framework for councils.
We emphasised the need for the role out of future transport technologies to be sensitive to the overall plans that councils have to manage our transport networks. There is significant potential for new technologies to help us deliver on our economic, environmental and social goals. However the roll out will be different in different places and councils are best placed to understand what new approaches will work in their area.
