The DfE has updated its implementation guidance on the forthcoming SEND reforms under the Children and Families Act 2014.
We were successful in arguing that councils would be faced with an impossible task if they had to transfer all children and young people moving between key stages in their education next year from statements to plans. The priority for the next academic year will be to transfer those in Year 11 leaving school and post-16 and those that already have draft EHC plans.
