Change NHS: Have your say

This is a key chance to shape the future of the nation's health.

#Futureofthenationshealth

Background
A nationwide conversation about the future of the NHS is underway, led by the Government. ‘Change NHS’ is seeking views on three key shifts: from hospital to community, analogue to digital, and treatment to prevention.

The Government wants to use this as a chance to shape the 10-year plan for health, which is expected to be published in spring 2025. The more local government voices feed into the process, the more the sector will be able to influence future design decisions positively.

How councils can get involved
Whilst the deadline for organisations to respond has now passed (2 December), there are a range of ways you can still be part of the conversation and influence change:

  • Share your responses to the portal and examples of good practice with us. This is an opportunity to showcase the fantastic work that councils are already doing, especially in relation to prevention and tackling inequalities. We want to hear from you, please email us with good practice examples and your responses to the portal: [email protected]
  • Encourage staff, social care workers and the general public/residents to share their ideas through the online platform.
  • Join up with local partners to engage local communities using the 'Workshop in a Box'. The materials will help you engage with your communities and feed their insight into the development of the 10 year health plan.
