This page brings together all the information you will  need in relation to school teachers’ pay in 2020/21. The LGA provides the secretariat for NEOST (National Employers Organisation for School Teachers).

Councils are continually looking to innovate in order to deal with increasing demand and pressure to the services that they run on behalf of local residents. The past few years has seen digital service delivery becoming more and more relevant in increasing resident accessibility to services and delivering efficiencies. In March 2018, the LGA funded five councils to reuse the digital assets and learning from the Kent Home Choice Partnership project.

This programme supports 10 councils to work with specific cohorts of residents to support those who haven’t had the skills, confidence or infrastructure to go online so they can benefit from the potential for digital tools and solutions to contribute to improving life outcomes.

The LGA’s range of fire and rescue authority member development resources helps elected members develop into capable and confident local leaders.

The coronavirus pandemic has redefined how we all think about where and how we live.

A framework for providing support to chief executives or executive directors of local authorities to review senior management arrangements for managing children’s services and adult social services. It can also be applied to include other areas of work, for example, public health, but if this is the case then further expertise would be required.

This webinar will be an opportunity to hear from the business sector looking at how we speed up the recovery in the UK and the importance of local government.
