Eligibility

Designed to bring 10 diverse contestants together, we encourage everyone from all backgrounds, council service areas, and experience to apply. It is not about your prior experience, but about your leadership potential.

Local government needs leaders who reflect and represent their local communities, as the best ideas are generated by a diverse set of people from different walks of life.

Structure of the programme

The programme consists of five challenges that take place over the duration of six months, commencing in January or February and rounding up in July and the LGA Annual Conference where the winner is announced.
