In 2025 we mark the 80th anniversaries of VE and VJ Day and the end of the Second World War. Services of Remembrance continue to resonate with the nation, allowing local communities up and down the country the chance to reflect on the service and sacrifice of the many men and women from their own villages, towns and cities who have served in HM Armed Forces, or who have supported or lost someone who has.

Timescales and assessments in adult social care

It is important that people who need social care support are seen in a timely manner by the right professionals. It’s also important that councils can understand who is on their waiting lists for assessment or support and how long people wait. Identifying potential bottlenecks or areas of best practice can support development of a service that meets local needs.

Professional practice supports people working in adult social care and focuses on information and advice; timescales and assessments; as well as strengths and asset based practice.
