Demand management - Case studies - Coventry City Council: Meeting resourcing challenges by managing demand over the longer term

In 2011 Coventry City Council worked with users of special educational needs transport to manage demand, this was one of the earliest and well-known local government examples.

Using this insight the council is now pursuing two complementary approaches to co-designing and developing their relationships with communities and other public service partners to meet the resourcing challenges ahead. One approach is "bottom-up" and the other "top-down" through empowering its citizens.
