From March to October 2021, there was a reported increased in the number of suicide attempts, fatalities, and interventions at Stevenage train station. A Task and Finish Group was set up to quickly explore what support could be offered locally to people in crisis at the station. A NightLight crisis café has been opened close to the station, with 108 visits in the first month alone. This case study was done jointly with the National Suicide Prevention Alliance and forms part of our suicide prevention resource.

Cornwall Council are using the Building with Nature (BwN) Standard Framework to inform the green infrastructure (GI) designs for Langarth Garden Village, creating a scheme that is on track to deliver positive outcomes for people and wildlife, and provide a demonstration of the Council’s strategic approach to placemaking and biodiversity gains for local stakeholders.

Manchester Climate Change Partnership (MCCP) is a cross-sectoral partnership of organisations that are engaged in helping the city become zero carbon and climate resilient. It includes representation from across the city’s communities and its private, public, health, faith, culture, sport, property, social housing, and academic sectors.

Portsmouth City Council, as part of Solent Transport, have teamed up with Voi to promote their discounts available to those on low income, students and those serving their community. Voi have focused on making the shared e-scooter scheme in Portsmouth, which is funded by the Solent Future Transport Zone, and e-bike service elsewhere as accessible as possible to everyone.

Brighton and Hove's Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan recognises and sets out plans to deliver the infrastructure needed to improve the city’s active travel network - creating the foundations to enable an active travel network where the whole community has the practical choices to travel by walking, wheeling, or cycling in a healthy and sustainable way.

In June 2021, the London Borough of Barnet approved the Outline Business Case for the development of an £18.8M strategic sports hub including a wider leisure and community offer at West Hendon Playing Fields.

South Kesteven District Council’s mental health and wellbeing cross party working group worked in collaboration with health partners, a mental health charity and a community arts provider to investigate whether a local information resource would be useful to help reduce isolation and loneliness post Covid.

The Church Street Regeneration Programme aims to improve the quality of life of the people who live and work in the area and will bring around 1,750 high quality new homes, greener and more pedestrianised spaces, and new community services to support the health and wellbeing of the local community.
