Establishing local Healthwatch: commissioning and development

Establishing local Healthwatch (LHW) is a series of briefings produced by the LGA to assist local authorities and their partners in local communities and the NHS to support the commissioning, setting up and early development of local Healthwatch.

This briefing considers some of the practical issues facing local authorities and their partners as they commission LHW and identifies some of the conceptual issues that have informed the debate as local authorities and partners seek to establish LHW in a way that is open, transparent and inclusive.
