HICM: Intermediate Care: West Sussex

Colleagues in West Sussex were experiencing high demand for long-term adult social care services, needs becoming more complex, and continued financial pressures. Action was taken to strengthen reablement as a core intervention, promoting independence and managing long term care demand. Unpaid carers and Care Quality Commission assurance

This toolkit is designed to support councils with Care Quality Commission (CQC) assurance as it relates to unpaid carers. It builds on published information about the CQC's approach to assessing how well councils are discharging their duties under The Care Act (2014).

A local path to net zero

Councils want to work as partners with government, industry and communities to tackle climate change. They are intrinsic to transitioning our places and empowering our communities and businesses to net zero future.
