How our programme continues to support local authorities this year.
As part of our role in supporting the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) in improving the secure use of digital technology by councils and communities, we are offering:
General support
Including: advice and guidance, training courses and workshops, knowledge sharing events, and case studies.
Sector-led consultancy
Including: Cyber 360s that provide individual support to councils based on their organisational circumstances and requirements, supporting them to manage their own risk, prevent cyber incidents and reduce the need for central intervention, as well as Cyber Reaction Exercises.
Policy improvement
Including: authoring sector-wide consultation responses, explaining central government policy to the sector, and understanding and representing the views of local government to central government.
Incident response
Including: non-technical support to councils and combined authorities responding to and recovering from cyber incidents and 365 day support for councils.
Research and data
Including: providing a local government evidence base to determine support requirements, improvement opportunities and to measure the impact of work.
Networks
Including: providing councils with the opportunity to come together to identify challenges, share good practice and learn from each other.
