The LGA has been working with councils on different approaches to the governance of digital transformation, with a particular focus on procurement and the supply chain. This has highlighted many innovative approaches that councils use to support organisational collaboration, establish oversight, reduce duplication, produce cost savings, support innovation, and manage cyber risk.

This webinar will look closely at how the London Borough of Brent and Hampshire County Council have used Technical Design Authorities, innovative supplier assurance mechanisms and other governance practices as part of their digital strategies. Through case studies, speakers will explore the benefits of different methods, provide practical advice on implementing practices and securing cross-organisational buy-in. We’d invite you then to participate in discussion to support councils looking to adopt notable practice.

Who are the speakers

  • Rehana Ramesh, Head of Digital Transformation, Brent Council
  • Simon Williams, Head of IT, Hampshire County Council
  • Chair: Jenny McEneaney, Senior Improvement Policy Adviser – Cyber, Digital and Technology, LGA
