Dear Sir/Madam
I am writing to update you on the Police Staff Council’s pay negotiations for 2023 following the Employers Side’s final offer to the Trade Union Side. The final offer was as follows:
- A 7 per cent pay increase on all pay points on the PSC pay spine as of 1 September 2023
- A 7 pre cent increase on Standby Allowance from £32.23 to £34.49 as of 1 September 2023
- A review of the lower quartile of the PSC pay spine during the 2023-24 pay year. This review will take place on a without prejudice basis in the PSC Pay and Reward Working
The Trade Union Side (UNISON, UNITE and GMB) undertook a consultative ballot of their members on the offer during August. We have been notified that all three Unions have accepted the offer and therefore we can confirm a pay agreement for 2023.
A PSC Joint Circular (No 334) will be issued shortly to confirm the details of the 2023 Pay Agreement including the uprated PSC pay spine.
Yours sincerely
David Algie
