The Police Staff Council (PSC) Pay and Rewards Working Group commissioned Sue Hastings and Sara Leslie – external specialist consultants – to undertake work on PSC guidance to support forces and authorities in carrying out equal pay reviews.
The guidance is based on the Equal Opportunities Commission – now the Equality and Human Rights Commission – equal pay review model and relevant legal decisions. Read the guidance which intends to help forces plan and conduct equal pay reviews:

The PSC 13 factor job evaluation scheme has undergone a thorough review to ensure the scheme is fit for purpose.
The scheme has been developed to comply with equal value principles and to cover a wide range of police staff jobs.
