Transforming social care through the use of information and technology: executive summary

Following the launch of the full report at the National Children's and Adult Services Conference 2016, the LGA launched an executive summary of how information and digital technology are transforming the way care services are being designed and delivered.

Aimed at Members and senior officers, the executive summary offers an overview of the key findings from the full report, grouped around the five ‘future vision for care' themes and highlights a number of areas for action to enable transformative use of data and technology in social care, and support of integration activity across place.

Supporting resources

In response to requests from the sector, there are also a number of further resources that have been launched in support of the full report.

Case study interview notes

By way of supporting detail, we have published a select number of the interview notes from the case-study summaries featured in the full report.

Expanding on featured overviews and offering a more granular level of detail, the interview notes to the suite of supporting documents underpin the overall snapshot of sector activity highlighted in the report.
