We’ve been working closely with Buckingham Palace on behalf of local government to ensure councils are represented at next year’s Royal Garden Parties.

Royal Garden Parties

These will be held on Wednesday 8 May and Tuesday 21 May 2024 at Buckingham Palace.

This is a wonderful and unique opportunity for you to nominate any councillor or directly employed council officer, plus companion, to visit the Palace. As well as an opportunity to meet the King and other members of the Royal Family, guests will be able mingle with fellow guests, explore the Palace grounds, and enjoy delicious tea and cakes. This is open to any deserving councillor or officer who has not previously attended, and we would especially welcome applications from outgoing members.

To participate in this once-in-a lifetime experience, please send your councillor or directly employed council officer nominations, within your council's quota, by 5.00pm on Thursday 22nd February.

All nominated and accompanying guests should not have previously attended a Garden Party. It would be helpful if you could check this before submitting their names to us to avoid any disappointment or embarrassment.

All nominated guests must be over the age of 18 years.
