The overall aim was to increase the number of people seeing London Fire Brigade's safety messages and what the organisation does on a daily basis.

The Old Courts Arts Centre is a six year old multi-arts organisation based in Wigan. They initially had no concept of the impact the pandemic would have on The Old Courts. When the pandemic hit, they needed to find a way to stay connected to the local community.

Three Rivers District Council has an in-house leisure development team and contracts out the management of its leisure venues. The team works with a range of partners to meet strategic targets around increasing the health and wellbeing of local people, including those with additional needs, mental health issues and vulnerable young people.

Timesage is a commercial brand for Melton Borough Council. The initial aim was to develop a pilot with a view to providing chargeable services to local people using a monthly subscription payment model. The pilot period was used to extend our lifeline services to support more independent living but we also have plans moving forward for leisure activity packages. In an effort to embed the Climate Emergency across our organisations, Torbay, South Hams and West Devon joined forces to arrange Carbon Literacy Training for 48 key officers, senior leaders and key councillors across Torbay Council, South Hams District Council and West Devon Borough Council.

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets has sought to be innovative in the way it promotes the benefits of flu and routine vaccinations to children and their families. This has included the use of online videos and storybooks.

In September 2016 these separate schemes were merged to form the admission avoidance and discharge service (AADS). This example of a local initiative forms part of our managing transfers of care resource.
