Lambeth Council has been implementing a healthy weight programme to address child obesity – and as part of that a specialist healthy weight school nurse post has been created. This case study forms part of our resource on the National Child Measurement Programme.

To get their estate to net zero by 2030 and prepare the borough for the impact of the climate crisis, Lambeth council have created a ‘future fit’ package for schools. This package consists of several projects, which reduce the schools’ carbon footprints, prepare them to be climate resilient, and protect school children from air pollution.

Lambeth is a complex borough with people from a wide range of religious, language, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds. These facts presented both opportunities and challenges in our communications campaign to support surge testing.

As part of the Knowsley Borough of Culture 2022 celebrations, the archive contacted Merseyside Polonia, a Polish not-for-profit organisation, and embarked on a collaborative project to translate and exhibit the Skura papers.

Following the disbanding of Connexions as a national service in 2012, Kirklees Council continued to make significant local investments in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG), NEET prevention activities and post-16 tracking. With the exception of York, Kirklees and Calderdale have the lowest combined NEET and not known rates in the Yorkshire and Humber region.
