Wiltshire Council funded a 12 month project focusing on supporting 'hard to engage' fathers of children under the age of one, including unborn children.

In June 2023 the LGA were awarded funding to support the sharing of good practice across LAs, which supports the home learning environment (HLE).

Introduction 

Warrington Borough Council implemented the No Wrong Door programme and runs the service from it's dedicated 'The Lighthouse' hub as a way of providing support to young people who are within or on the edge of the care system.

The FAST programme is funded by, and working in partnership with, Sport England. It was launched in 2018 and initially based in the targeted wards of Bicester and Kidlington with the aim to make it easier for families to access and enjoy physical activity and sport together.

Leeds Care Leaver Service has been proactively exploring strategies to enhance the utilisation of Archway, our Leeds Care Leavers Hub, with a specific emphasis on our Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC) community.

The development of this offer involved working with parent carers, CYP, and community partners to produce a summer community offer. The offer was designed to ensure local families have opportunities to access positive activities, build networks and friendships, access excellent quality information and build their confidence of using universal services and exploring the Local Offer.

Ohana is a Hertfordshire County Council project built in partnership with care experienced parents to offer them emotional and practical support.

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council has been working hard to gain funding for free prescriptions for care leavers.

Council tax support was given to a young person placed out of authority in need of financial assistance. This had a positive impact and has since been rolled our further.
