Tameside Story Makers has weekly storytelling sessions targeted at preschool-aged children.

Our Deane Helpline is a service which has been providing a lifeline and response package to people for over 30 years, along with associated monitoring of Lifeline alarms across the South West. Its purpose is to support people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and to prolong their quality of life.

Project context About 1,500 people, predominantly men from Asian backgrounds, work as taxi drivers in Walsall. Research carried out for the project found that drivers faced a range of health and social problems. Drivers are often self-employed with extended family commitments. They tend to work long hours with busy periods over Christmas and Easter.

Tees Valley Combined Authority aims to grow the local economy by focusing on transforming education, employment and skills across the area. Their Routes to Work pilot has supported almost 4,000 people and helped nearly 800 back into employment across the Tees Valley.

Two neighbourhoods of Teignbridge District Council were awarded Garden Community Status in 2019. Residents were offered the opportunity to be part of the plans to build vibrant, green neighbourhoods but the pandemic disrupted face-to-face engagement. Determined to involve local people in the project, the council pioneered a set of digital initiatives, the success of which has given Teignbridge Council the confidence to explore other ways to increase resident participation.
