Case studies highlighting how local government is ensuring young people experiencing disadvantage are engaged in education, employment and training.

The resource is a practical tool to enable commissioners within councils, housing associations and third-sector organisations to understand the implications of the Digital Switchover for Care Technology and to provide guidance and signposting to where and when action is required.

Work Local is our ambitious, practical vision for a devolved and integrated employment and skills system, which gives democratically elected local leaders the power and funding to work with partners to join up provision.

Putting children at the heart of policy making, including involving them directly in policy development, is important. Councils are already working hard to engage children and young people in policy development, as seen in a series of case studies on this page.

This selection of case studies provides good examples of community engagement by councils across the country.
