As part of the Care and Health Improvement Programme's (CHIP) work on commissioning and market shaping, the Markets and Modelling Project is designed to support councils, sub-regions and regions, to better understand the local care market.
Service Continuity and Care Market Review (SCCMR) notable practise
As we review the findings from the self-assessment questionnaires (SAQs) and the regional overviews that formed part of the Service Continuity and Care Market Review (SCCMR), we will be uploading and sharing examples of good practise from councils and regions as to how they have supported provider and market viability throughout the pandemic and in preparation for the other challenges this winter will bring.
Service continuity and care market review
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) is carrying out this review, supported by the LGA and ADASS. The review requires local authorities to assess risks to service continuity arising from the state of the local provider market, to set out what contingency plans they have to mitigate these risks, to flag up any external or mutual support that would be helpful, and to share any good practice.
