The Information Centre for Health and Social care collect an annual return of local government social care staffing - the SSDS001.

The survey was conducted by the LGA's Research and Information team. The LGA will use findings from the survey to help support local authorities. This summary report provides data on key workforce metrics.

The survey was conducted in February-May 2018 in order to gather information about educational improvement professionals, educational psychologists and young people’s/community service managers. The information collected related to pay and grading, working status, vacancies, workforce characteristics, recruitment difficulties, and information about recruits.
