Lowestoft has two Heritage Action Zones. Both schemes are working to secure lasting improvements to the historic environment and help breathe new life into the town’s shopping areas for the benefit of local communities and businesses.

Prior to the move into the discharge hub, work had already taken place to replace the ward discharge Officers with a more administrative role, new staff were recruited at band 4 on each ward within the Trust. A decision was also made that each directorate would have a supervisor Band 5 post to over-see the work of the discharge officers. This example of a local initiative forms part of our managing transfers of care resource.

NR3 has a simple objective of providing a mechanism for licensing authorities to record details of where a taxi or PHV drivers licence has been revoked, or an application for one refused.

When the contract to supply temporary staff came up for renewal, Luton Borough Council reviewed the existing approach against three priorities – ability to: generate additional savings, reinvest savings in council services, and to strengthen the permanent workforce.

Luton introduced an e-bundling system which will deliver significant savings for both the council and the court services in the production, delivery and handling of documents.

Magna Vitae is a specially created charitable trust which runs leisure, culture and health-related services on behalf of East Lindsey District Council.

The projects aim to support residents of East Lindsey who may be experiencing isolation, living in poor health or living with dementia. During lockdown the Trust had to find new ways to continue these projects and ensure some of the district’s most vulnerable residents were supported through the pandemic.

Residents' involvement in the design of a small branch library on the outskirts of Brighton has been an inspiration for the LSP. This case study shows how the council, along with other partners across the city, has developed a city-wide approach to engagement activities.
