The Local Government Workforce Survey 2012/13 provides information on key elements of the local government workforce. The survey was conducted by the Local Government Association (LGA) and updates previous surveys in the series.

The survey collects details of individual local government posts; the results are based on around 850,000 posts. This not only improves the quality of the data but enables us to produce robust estimates of pay by occupational groups.

The LGA commissioned Populus to conduct a poll of consumers to understand their views and motivations for reusing items and buying second hand products.
