The LGA and Local Partnerships have produced this green finance guide to provide both practical guidance and examples of good practice to support councils in England to find the most appropriate and affordable ways to finance their green ambition.

In October 2021 the LGA conducted a survey of the climate change officers of all councils in England. The purposes of the survey were to assess what actions local authorities are taking to combat climate change, to assess their future needs for support in this area, and to evaluate the climate change sector support offer provided by the LGA.

The Housing Advisers Programme (HAP) is run by the Local Government Association (LGA) and is intended to support councils seeking to innovate in meeting the housing needs of their communities. It aims to be simple, flexible and locally led.

This report is part of a series of surveys of all councils in England and Wales, collecting key workforce data on how the sector is responding to COVID-19. An online survey was emailed to heads of human resources, or a nominated contact, in councils from England and Wales. The data requested related to the week ending the preceding Friday.

Economics and strategy research consultancy, Pragmatix Advisory, and futures experts, Trajectory, were commissioned by the Local Government Association to identify how councils can help create resilient and revitalised high streets beyond the pandemic.

The LGA has commissioned Partnering Regeneration Development and Newbridge Advisors to produce this good practice guide. It aims to support councils to plan and establish more effective public-private partnerships, which can deliver the investment, development and services that are essential to boosting economic growth and recovery.

The LGA commissioned Shared Intelligence to undertake research to identify and capture the learning from councils’ extensive contact with businesses over the last 18 months in the context of COVID-19. This report sets out how councils can engage more effectively with businesses in the future to support economic recovery.
