The final workforce data standards have been published by the LGA, DCSF and its partners. A review process will revisit the standards but no changes will be made to the data standards without full consultation with all partners and the sector as a whole.

The LGA and the Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) invited directors of public health (DsPH) to take part in a survey about local authority commissioned weight management.

The use of predictive analytics in local government is still at an early stage, although it is becoming more common. While there are some sophisticated examples of predictive analytics being used across a range of local public services, much of the sector is just starting to consider the opportunities, and risks, of this type of technology.
